The Sounds of the Season: a reflection on light through words and music – Place des Arts

During the dark months, we turn to light – a dancing candle, a cozy fire – for comfort and to lift our spirits. Even natural light has a special quality in winter: the morning sun, glinting icicles, early sunsets, stars glittering in the cold, moonlight on fresh snowfall. For some, the most cheerful of all are the lights we see during winter celebrations.
Join Place des Arts and feel inspired by the surrounding winter world. Professional musicians from our faculty will score spoken word poems performed by theatre artists to create a fantasia of words and music capturing the emotions of light and winter. This event is the kick-off to the Reflections Festival.
A cash bar offering a variety of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available.
Tickets: $16 for students & seniors and $21 for adults (+GST)
