Located in Heritage Square, in Coquitlam’s Maillardville neighbourhood, Place des Arts houses three gallery spaces to exhibit the work of local emerging artists, as well as a variety of unique spaces for rentals and exhibitions. The new Maillardville Community Centre (MCC), located at 1200 Cartier Ave., offers programs for Coquitlam residents of all ages. The new 22,000 sq. ft. facility doubles the size of the previous community centre and features the City’s first dedicated gymnasium, children’s program area with large covered outdoor space, multipurpose rooms, sprung-floor active studio and much more. Sports drop-ins, fitness classes, cooking classes, social activities, birthday parties and other educational programs are all available at MCC.
