Belonging: Reflections through the Eyes of The Ugly Duckling
March 5, 2021 - March 31, 2021

Place des Arts is excited to present a free, all-ages, virtual storytelling experience, Belonging: Reflections through the Eyes of The Ugly Duckling, adapted by Director Susan Bertoia, from March 5-31, 2021.
Bertoia has adapted Hans Christensen Andersen’s classic and universal fairy tale The Ugly Duckling which is a story of the struggle and pain of “otherness” and how it can be overcome through acceptance and self-love. This story highlights how we can grow through our struggles and find our place in the world.
Immerse yourself in the powerful story. Celebrate diversity and contribute to the discussion around the importance of belonging. Find a connection you might have with the story of the Ugly Duckling and ask yourself, how do I belong?
