Sharing Culture through the Natural World: Art Project Launch

Join Place des Arts and First Nations artist Christine Mackenzie to take part in our community art project. Help us create an art piece that celebrates multiculturalism through First Nations art and culture. Fill in the designs and experiment with techniques such as shading, colour blending, perspective and texture. We are attending events throughout the summer and at each event, a different component of the art project will be painted by you.
We can all identify with the natural world regardless of our culture or background. Find out more about the world around us and how it relates to you. We invite you to ask questions and learn more about First Nations culture. Through your participation, we hope to inspire self-exploration, dialogue, learning and sharing.
The final project will be on display at Place des Arts from September 9-October 19, 2022. Stop by to see your part and reflect on how our community can grow and learn from each other.
