Broadway comes to Evergreen as Play on Word Productions gathers a number of talented Musical Theatre artists throughout the lower mainland to perform in this one special event! Listen to these artists belt out some of the most popular and beloved Musical Theatre tunes as they weave them through the poignant stories they tell. Celebrate the end of the year with us with a fun, glitzy night full of warm feelings and vibrant show tunes.
ABOUT PLAY ON WORDS PRODUCTIONS:
Play On Words Productions (POW) was founded by Ryan Nunez, Theo Budd and Sabrielle McCurdy, 3 theatre school grads with a mission to produce meaningful theatre and create more paid opportunities for emerging artists. Since its creation in 2015, POW has produced 4 full-length musicals, one original workshop production, the cabaret series “Twisted Broadway” and over 15 musical events and fundraisers, all of which paid a small honorarium to everyone involved using the model of profit-share (it’s a start!). They’re best known for their innovative production of Bonnie & Clyde the musical, which had a sold-out run at the Havanna Theatre in 2017.
Sabrielle, Theo and Ryan are all creators, performers and arts administrators in their own right, and when they come together with a vision, they make theatre magic.
