Canada Day in Coquitlam – Town Centre Park

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that we are gathering on the shared, traditional and ancestral lands of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), sq̓əc̓iy̓aɁɬ təməxʷ (Katzie), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
Coquitlam recognizes that Canada Day can mean different things for different members of our community. As a result, the City has adapted the July 1 event to provide a day that is sensitive to the diverse range of community perspectives. Canada Day in Coquitlam is a safe and inclusive family-friendly event with a wide range of entertainment, multicultural performances, fireworks, food, fun activities and opportunities to learn more about Canadian and pre-colonial Indigenous history.
