110th Anniversary Open House – Coquitlam Heritage Society

Coquitlam Heritage Society’s annual Open House event celebrates the arrival of the first train passengers to Maillardville and this year is the 20th anniversary of Mackin House being open to the public as a museum. Drop by for train station and museum tours, crafts, treats, quilt sewing and sock knitting demonstrations and the world folk music sounds of Kouskous. This duo will perform two interactive sets including:
1 p.m. – Songs of the Francophones that the pioneers likely sang. Join in with body percussion and call and response.
2:15 p.m. – BC’s History Through Song with folk songs describing the Gold Rush, Rum Running, Logging and Scandals.
No registration required. By Donation. All welcome.
