Woohoo, two weeks off from school! That’s two weeks without packing lunches and rushing out before the first bell rings. Except… That’s also two weeks of “I’m bored!”

Luckily, there’s so much to do in Coquitlam. We have something to keep everyone entertained over Spring Break!

Something to See

Kids
Grab a binocular kit and local birding book from Coquitlam Public Library and take the kids to ƛ̓éxətəm (tla-hut-um) Regional Park (Formerly known as Colony Farm Regional Park)The park is flat and an easy walk for little legs. Spring is the perfect time to explore since the plants are budding and birds are nesting. With more than 200 species of birds, Colony Farms is a great place to learn about bird watching.

Teens
Enjoy a hockey game without having to trek all the way downtown. Catch a couple of the final regular season games for the Coquitlam Express as they take on the Victoria Grizzlies on March 30th & 31st at Poirier Sports and Leisure Centre. Make a night of it and have a pre- or post-game meal at one of the many restaurants in Austin Heights.
